    Our Friday Showcase will include a battle in Cab’s state of the art theater on “the big screen” between the two highest scorers to determine who is… the ULTIMATE GAMMER!

Brandon teaches full-time as the Director of Multimedia Productions at the Cecil County School of Technology (CCST), educating high school students in the Adobe Suite and beyond to prepare them for college entry, or into the world as independent, creative entrepreneurs.

  • Mind Blowing Experiments (3rd – 5th)

    Do you want to make a stick character levitate or figure out the best strategy for escaping quicksand (in a cornstarch simulation)?  Perhaps you are interested in growing crystal snowflakes, layering liquids in a jar, or playing catch with a catapult that you design.  This camp explores your inner scientist.  You’ll build a solar power oven that makes S’mores, create a convection current, and filter safe drinking water (in case you are ever stranded in the ocean or in the woods).

    The Plastics have deemed Broadway Junior worthy of their presence in Mean Girls JR! This “fetch” musical from book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) is packed with keen wit, an undeniably catchy score, and a sincere message for everyone.

    Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a “Revenge Party” to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.

Week 2

June 24th – 28th 

  • Build a Better City (3rd - 5th)

    We need you to design Delawares city of the future. To create this perfect place, you will need to make decisions about where to place parks, community gardens, homes, businesses, transportation, and more. We are also counting on you to keep it green, focusing on renewable energy. We will examine the works of visionary city artist Bodys Isek Kingelez for his view of fantastic, utopian models for a more harmonious society of the future. By the camps end, you will name this city, creating a map and model that captures your vision.
  • Ceramics (3rd thru 5th)

    In this exciting week long lesson you will be able to sculpt your very own ceramics sculpture! We will be facilitating this exciting class about how to manipulate clay or ceramics. Also included in this class will be the added skills of spinning or throwing‚ clay on the wheel. This class will cover the basics of ceramics going up to some advanced techniques.

  • Innovation Discovery (3rd thru 5th)

    Explore innovative technologies in this hands-on week of tinkering and problem solving! 3D printing is the main focus of this camp. Students will create designs online and see them come to life as physical objects!

  • Learn to Fly - Aerial Silks (3rd thru 5th)

    Get up into the air while learning the fundamentals of aerial arts on silks while building strength and flexibility. Instruction will include performing basic movements and tricks, how to gain body awareness while airborne and use of the apparatus.

Week 3

July 8th – 12th

  • Aquanautics (3rd thru 5th)
    $350.00
    Dive into the World of Water with Aquanautics Camp! Designed for curious young minds, this camp offers a week of discovery and fun. We’ll take trips to explore the wonders of water on kayaks, reel in fish, and conduct hands-on streamside experiments. Together, we’ll learn about water’s vital role in our lives and the environment.
  • Design Your Own Theme Park (3rd thru 5th)
    $335.00
    Learn how to create your own theme park, starting with graph paper and ending with pool noodle demos. You’ll need to consider where to place roller coasters, concession stands, gift shops, other rides, water parks, ticket booths, arcades, security booths, bathrooms and more.  Of course, you’ll solve area and perimeter problems for a successful set up.  You’ll also need to name your park, create a theme, decide prices, and create a budget.
  • Computer Guts and Robot Brains (3rd thru 5th)

    Today’s kids are wired for technology.  Tech surrounds us, but have you ever wondered what’s inside that makes it all work?

    In this camp, we will be taking apart some of our favorite computing devices as we explore the inside of a computer and learn the different parts. Then we’ll move into computer programming with Scratch block coding where our junior programmers will create apps to run on our computers.  Finally, we take all that knowledge and apply it to physical computing – learning about circuitry with Makey Makey circuit boards and programming Edison Robots.  Join us as we unlock the secrets of technology.

    All this with a little Steam Punk art along the way!

  • Disney’s Finding Nemo KIDS (Two Week Musical) (3rd - 12th )
    Disney’s Finding Nemo KIDS is a 30-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Week 4

July 15th -19th 

  • Intro to Piano (3rd thru 5th)

    Intro to piano is designed to teach the fundamentals needed to perform piano and increase understanding of the basics of music. You will develop skills, discipline, and determination. You will participate in both group and one-on-one lessons with opportunities to perfect your skill and perform for other campers. If you have never played piano or have had a few lessons and are looking to learn more, this is the perfect camp for you. Music related games and crafts will also be included.
  • Playing with Portraits (3rd thru 5th)

    Young artists who choose to join this group will be working on a series of self portraits. We will explore the principles of proportion, color, and value in a graduating series of styles and techniques. Participants can expect to walk away with several finished works that capture that moment in time and an excellent foundation to continue this classic painting subject.  
  • Aerial Silks Intensive (3rd thru12th)

    This camp will focus on these skills: Our main wraps will origami shapes with a lot of fabric, crossback straddle entrances and exits, ankle hangs, and flips and climbing. Prior experience is required!

Week 5

July 22nd  – 26th

  • DIY Sculptures (Paper Mâché, oven-bake lay, etc.) (3rd-5th)

    Campers will brainstorm creative character ideas, from an alien in outer space, a lion in the jungle, a jellyfish in the sea, or any creature their imaginations can come up with! We’ll dream up unique stories for our characters including their friends and sidekicks. We’ll design and build their habitat in 3D. We’ll even learn different ways to capture them in “A Creature’s Story”!
  • Chemistry Magic (3rd thru 5th)

    Chemistry is all around us!  What might you experiment with in chemistry? Classically we think of a mad scientist and lots of bubbling beakers, and yes there is a chemical reaction between bases and acids to enjoy! However, chemistry also involves matter, solutions, and the list goes on. Chemistry experiments will encourage problem-solving skills and observation skills as the students learn about basic chemistry concepts such as atomic structure, chemical bonds, and molecules. Safety googles, of course, are included!
  • Zombie Anatomy (3rd thru 5th)

    This program teaches by comparing real life to fantasy. What is a zombie? Do you think they’re cool or frightening or both? Do you think they could really exist? No? Yes? Let’s find out! Each step of the way we’ll have cool activities to support the academics, like making fake blood, slime and a Jell-O brain to dissect and then eat… just like any good zombie would!
  • Vet Care 101 (3rd thru 5th)

    Learn the best practices for animal care with animals living in the camp. Practice grooming – including cleaning of teeth, eyes and ears as well as coat brushing and bathing – and learn how to look for and treat common illnesses.

Week 6

July 29th  – August 2nd

  • Space, the Final Frontier (3rd thru 5th)

    Are you curious about gravity, spaceships, and life outside of earth? Have you ever wanted to see if you have what it takes to live as an astronaut in space? If so, pack your bags and get ready for blast off! During this week, you travel to outer space utilizing Virtual Reality you will explore black holes and complete your mission by landing on Mars! You make a classroom-sized solar system, build and launch rockets, eat astronaut food, and calculate your weight on different planets!
  • A Day in the Life of Cab: Communication Arts (3rd thru 5th)
    You will spend a week preparing for a Comm Arts assessment to see what involved.  The program includes a look at photography/photo editing, digital art, and graphic design.

    This is the best way to find out if Comm. Arts is the major for you!

  • A Day in the Life of Cab: Dance (3rd thru 5th)
    Join us for a taste of being a Dance Major! You will experience the broad kaleidoscope of the art of dance – ballet, modern/contemporary, jazz, multicultural and improvisational as you learn what you need to know to assess for Cab in 5th grade. The course will culminate with a short performance of dances learned during the class.
  • A Day in the Life of Cab: Instrumental (3rd thru 5th)
    Join us for a week exploring the world of instrumental music. You will focus on posture, technique, artistry, tone projection, breathing and sight reading that will help you take your artistry to the next level while you learn what you need to know to assess for Cab in 5th grade.


    *Instrument will be provided if necessary. Please email us with which instrument you will be bringing or need at the time of registration.

  • A Day in the Life of Cab: Theatre (3rd thru 5th)
    Learn about role preparation, basics of acting, stage directions and current trends in theatre production while you prepare for your 5th grade assessment for Cab!
  • A Day in the Life of Cab: Visual Arts (3rd thru 5th)
    Learn about Cab visual arts majors by stretching your imagination to work with a wide range of art disciplines – self-portrait, still life, landscape and three-dimensional works. You will complete everything you need in order to asses for Cab in 5th grade! All works of art will be on display at week’s end.
  • Vet Care Livestock (3rd thru 12th)
    $345.00
    Sheep and goats and pigs oh, my! Livestock, livestock everywhere! Students will learn the importance of livestock to our lives and explore how to manage livestock. Herding, feed ratios, grooming and hoof care, bandaging of their feet, animal products and so much more will be topics to discover.
    * Students will need to be dropped off at Conrad School of Science for this camp at 8:30am and picked up at Conrad by 3:00 PM. Students must also pack a lunch.
    **We will not have a nurse on site for this program
